WHAT AWS IS ALL ABOUT
Yours to create, yours to build,
Yours to establish, yours to protect.
The world is fragile, and it calls for your voice, your diplomacy, your deliberation and your action.
A platform where minds open, paths change, empires collapse and nations rebuild.
Experience collaboration, revolution and assimilation, as the youth prepares to propel the world into action.
Experience it all, at the Annual World Summit, 2019.
Jamnabai Narsee School proudly presents the EIGhth Edition of one of the most established MUNs in the country.
Organised by the students and faculty of the ISC section, this dynamic conference will take place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of August, 2019, on the Jamnabai Narsee School campus.
We welcome you to explore infinite lengths behind closed doors, to reach beyond the norms of prejudice and narrow-mindedness, to act on your roles as the harbingers of peace and change to inherit a better tomorrow.
We invite you to be the change.
Come. See. Conquer.
LETTER FROM THE SECRETARIAT
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” - Margaret Mead
Today we live in a world where discussion, debate and diplomacy hold the very reigns that guide the course of the world’s politics. The smallest voices can make the biggest difference. The smallest actions have the power to change the world for the better or the worse.
It is our honour to present to you the 8th edition of the Annual World Summit, a three-day simulation of the United Nations designed for future diplomats like you to take part in the most vigorous debates, strategising and handling high-stress crises.
This year, we have chosen a wide array of ten committees which include the United Nations Security Council, the United Nations Human Rights Council, the United Nations Development Programme, the Disarmament and International Security Committee, the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Police Organisation, the Indian Parliament, the African Union and the Joint Action Committee. The committees are modelled along the lines of the Harvard MUN procedure and will be chaired by talented JNS students, who will facilitate thought-provoking discussions.
We call all you leaders of tomorrow to use your voices to create change, to demand what’s truly yours, to fight for your beliefs and to use the power of your opinions to fuel thrilling discussions that will decide the fate of our planet and humanity as a whole. We invite you to deliberate, to opine, to create, to remember, to inspire. We invite you to Come. See. Conquer.
